はじめに

This article was written for foreign tourists.

この記事は当初、日本の四季を英語で紹介する目的で作成したものです。2019年のHP作成当初から、トップページを飾る四季の写真をクリックすると、季節ごとの英語案内文にジャンプするようになっています。

改めてその写真と拙い英文をここにまとめてみました。
できればここ5年間で歩いた最近の四季の風景も加えられると良かったのですが、英語で書くのは思いのほか時間が掛かったので、先ずは当時のままの文章とさせていただきます。

春　－Spring, printemps, Frühling－

There is SAKURA at every city in Japan.
Cherry blossoms will open from tropical area in late March and early April. If you come to Japan in late April, it is better to go to TOHOKU district, north Japan.

In the middle of April; I can recommend Yamanashi-Ken, because of nice contrast pink with yellow. Pink peach blossoms match to yellow rape blossoms very well below.

In June; I can recommend Kyusyu. Kyusyu is very far from Tokyo.

Caution: Some flower season is very short, and it is variable every year. Then please check it before you go to these spots.

夏　－Summer, été, Sommer－

In Nagano-Ken, there are many famous mountains above 2000m altitude.
You can go there by JR-Chuo-line or JR-Hokuriku-Shinkansen.
Yatsugatake : Chino-station
North Alps : Matsumoto, or Hotaka, Hakuba-station
Central Alps: Komagane-station

If you prefer beach more than mountain, you can watch it below. You can take a kayak, and you may be able to watch many dolphin nearby a small boat.

秋　－Autumn, automne, Herbst－

You can enjoy autumn leaves in order from north. Some leaves will become red, other leaves will change to yellow.

冬　－Winter, hiver, Winter－

You can enjoy snow field between December to April or May. It is very cold, but pure white world with powder snow. You can ski, and you can walk by snow-shoeing,or crampons.
